I Love my Land

I love my land, the Indian land,
Where saints and soldiers were born.
Where the people after hearing the bird's melodious chirping,
Wake up on every morn.

I love my land, the Indian land,
Where people are generous and kind.
Treat everyone with courtesy, they,
Be a person deaf, dumb or blind.

I love my land, the Indian land,
Whose history is very rich.
The ancient texts are world famous,
Conserved are our manuscripts.

I love my land, the Indian land,
Where non-violence is preached.
Other people fight with bare hands,
We Indians fight with wits.

I love my land, the Indian land,
Where the nature is redefined.
The beautiful Shalimar Bagh,
The Himalaya's fascinating heights!

I love my land, the Indian land,
Where the music and art is vast.
The art is so vivid, and,
The music, a rejuvenating effect, it casts.

I love my land, the Indian land,
Where the people, in education are sedulous,
When it comes to maths,
Our country is stupendous!

I love my land, the Indian land,
Where the food is lip-smacking.
And ah! The food is never bland,
The smell of onions along spices, is crackling.

I love my land, the Indian land,
For it is the country I belong to.
I live my land, the Indian land,
For it is the land, I salute to.
