Friends today, I traveled, down the memory lane,
Filled with nostalgia, my heart, seared with sorrowful pain.
Those crayons, those pencils, those messy plays of fun,
Surely, no one can forget those days in life's long run.
Those Sundays with parents, those Mondays with school.
Life in those days, was simply cool,
Those meetings with cousins, that carefree play,
I wish those days, that time, could forever stay.
But as we know the coin has two sides,
One gives the responsibilities of adulthood, the other shows the playful sight!
Sometimes I wish to travel, back to those days, when life was cool and stress-free,
Mornings with Oswald, afternoons with Pooh and evenings with Mr. Bean!
We cried, we got things in a jiffy,
A toy of cars, a cricket bat, a ball or a soft toy of Miffy!
Now those days are lost in the sands of time,
That time is but ended, ah! The Golden Time!
Filled with nostalgia, my heart, seared with sorrowful pain.
Those crayons, those pencils, those messy plays of fun,
Surely, no one can forget those days in life's long run.
Those Sundays with parents, those Mondays with school.

Wonderful thoughts!
